Proof Public school   Proof Public School is a CBSE school for boys and girls, established in the nineteen seventies and situated in the Central Proof Establishment(CPE), Itarsi. This was the major English medium school of Itarsi. Students from Itarsi, surrounding villages, and from close by city Hoshangabad use to come to school.  History The school was originally started exclusively for Army families, particularly of CPE, though later students from all walks of life joined the school. PPS Itarsi was the largest English medium school based on CBSE pattern in Hoshangabad District from 1975 to 1990. Kendriya Vidyalaya started in CPE and now PPS operate LKG and UKG. Passed out students have many sweet memories of school days.  Location School is located in CPE(Central Proof Establishment). CPE  is a landmark place in the colorful and chequered history of Itarsi. Bounded by the National Highway on the east, the  Tawa canal in the west, the Plywood colony in close by. Well connected to the major city centers by open and wide roads, the school campus was about 5 Km. away from the Itarsi Main Railway Station, 4.5 Km. from the Bus stand. Tanks  The campus is flanked by tanks captured during the war with Pakistan. Every time we pass by them, a sense of pride, the battle fought, and courage of fighters flashed in memories.  Branches Earlier days school had two branches. Lower KG and Senior KG were located about a KM away from the main building of School. School still functions Lower KG and Senior KG. Other classes were on the main campus. The classes from 1st onward were merged in newly started  Kendriya Vidhyalaya (the nineties). More than 200 members are on Faebook group. The walls were neck high and than curved iron sheets were placed to create roof. The ventilators at top of the roof give it peculiar look. The building were very well spread off. Playground The school has lot of open place and playground all around. I) FootBall Ground : The main ground of the school was of football. The ground was so big that student of smaller classes preferred to have there own stome goal post utilizing only half of the ground. It was covered with green grass and leveled. There were boundaries demarcated on all sides. This ground was also used for cricket. Striking a four was difficult and six was almost impossible. ii) Kho Kho Ground: Yes there was proper kho kho ground in the school having stripes in it. With many topographical features in play grounds, imaginatively laid out with picturesque landscape, numerous class building of iron sheet, presents a spectacle of harmony in architecture and natural beauty.   There were lot of grounds from football to kho kho to cricket to basket ball.
